Antenna: The kit comes with an XM satellite antenna with a 23' cable. The antenna cable has a single SMB connector, and can be placed on a flat horizontal surface, or mounted vertically to an internal or external wall. The mounting location should be near a window or outside where there are no obstructions so the signal from the overhead satellites can be properly received. The antenna can be raised to an angle of up to 90° from the base for best reception. Dimensions: Width=2.755", Height=1.334" (3.701 with antenna raised), Depth=3.621" Note: In major cities, XM ground repeaters are present, allowing you more flexibility for antenna placement.
Audio Patch Cord: The supplied 6' patch cord, with a 3.5mm mini plug on one end and stereo RCA plugs on the other, lets you feed the audio signal from the XR9 satellite receiver into your home stereo system.
