SIRIUS Satellite Radio has launched a new portable MP3 player with a Portable Satellite Radio Tuner called Sirius S50. This will be Sirius' flagship receiver for Christmas time.
The Portable Satellite Radio Receiver Sirius S50 allows users to capture and store up to 50 hours of SIRIUS content, or a mix of SIRIUS programming and MP3/WMA files, enabling listening on the go.

Pioneer's AirWare Portable Satellite Radio Receiver has a built-in satellite radio antenna that gets reception wherever you go, as long as the signal's not completely blocked by things like buildings or trees. SIRIUS Satellite Radio has launched a new portable MP3 player with a Portable Satellite Radio Tuner called Sirius S50. This will be Sirius' flagship receiver for Christmas time.
The Portable Satellite Radio Receiver Sirius S50 allows users to capture and store up to 50 hours of SIRIUS content, or a mix of SIRIUS programming and MP3/WMA files, enabling listening on the go.
The Portable SIRIUS S50 measures 1.9 by 3.9 inches and 0.7 inches thick, and includes a full color display and voice-assisted channel navigation.
The portable satellite radio receiver also includes 30 channel presets; a jump button for one-touch tuning to traffic and weather reports or to a favorite SIRIUS satellite radio channel. This Sirius S50 is smaller has better looks then the Delphi MyFi portable satellite radio receiver, but is not really comparable as it does not receive live Satellite music on the go, only when it is docked.
The Sirius S50 is scheduled to be available at retail this October 2005 for a suggested retail price of $359.99.
