MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL ALL-STAR GAME GETS COMPREHENSIVE COVERAGE ON XM SATELLITE RADIO
Cal Ripken, Jr., and other members of XM's MLB on-air team to broadcast live from Detroit during All-Star Week July 9 - July 12
Washington D.C., July 06, 2005 -- XM Satellite Radio, the official satellite radio network of Major League Baseball (MLB), will provide comprehensive coverage of the 2005 MLB All-Star Week in Detroit with four consecutive days of live, on-location broadcasts, culminating with the 76th All-Star Game on July 12 at 8:05 pm ET on XM's MLB Play-by-Play Channel 176.
Cal Ripken, Jr., Rob Dibble, Kevin Kennedy, Larry Bowa, and other members of XM's MLB on-air team will broadcast live from multiple locations across Detroit, including Comerica Park, the All-Star FanFest at the Cobo Center, and the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center, from July 9 to July 12 on XM's baseball talk radio channel MLB Home Plate (XM Channel 175). The Spanish-language baseball channel MLB En Espanol (XM Channel 190) featuring Orestes Destrade will also broadcast from Detroit July 9 - 12.
Broadcast highlights on XM include play-by-play coverage of the All-Star Game; the XM Satellite Radio All-Star Futures Game on July 10, featuring the top U.S. and international Minor League prospects; the Home Run Derby on July 11, and exclusive interviews with players, coaches, and celebrity fans at FanFest from the XM Listening Lounge, a high-tech lounge featuring XM listening booths, a store for purchasing radios, and vehicles equipped with XM.

XM's coverage of All-Star Week in Detroit kicks off July 9 at FanFest on the MLB Home Plate channel starting at 12 noon ET and MLB En Espanol starting at 9:00 am ET. The two channels will broadcast live from FanFest each day through July 12.
The XM Satellite Radio Futures Game will air July 10 at 4:00 pm ET on MLB Channel 183, with play-by-play by XM's Mark Patrick and color and analysis by Dibble and Bowa. Detroit music favorites the Romantics and Mitch Ryder will perform prior to the game. The Home Run Derby airs July 11 at 8:00 pm ET on MLB Channel 176.
Kennedy will join his XM on-air partner Dibble for their call-in program "The Show" on July 11 at FanFest and July 12 at the Pepsi Porch inside Comerica Park from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm ET each day on MLB Home Plate.
"Baseball This Morning" with Patrick and Bowa will broadcast from several Detroit locations July 11 through 13, 6:00 am to 9:00 am ET on MLB Home Plate. Other popular XM programs, including "MLB On Deck," "MLB Live," "Baseball Beat," and "Fantasy Focus," will also broadcast from Detroit during All-Star Week.
