XM EXPANDS COVERAGE OF "LIVE 8" CONCERTS TO SEVEN DEDICATED XM CHANNELS AND MORE THAN 55 HOURS OF LIVE PERFORMANCES FROM AROUND THE WORLD

London, Paris, Berlin, Rome, Philadelphi and Toronto Performances To Be Broadcast on Dedicated XM Channels

Washington D.C., June 24, 2005 -- XM Satellite Radio, the nation's leading satellite radio company with more than 4 million subscribers, will expand its broadcast coverage of the LIVE 8 concerts to include every artist and every performance live from London, Paris, Berlin, Rome, Philadelphia, and Barrie (Toronto). Offering the most comprehensive radio broadcast coverage with more than 55 hours of performances, XM will dedicate seven channels to the LIVE 8 performances on July 2 - one for each city, plus an anchor channel that will cut to live performances in different cities around the globe. XM on-air hosts will be on location at various LIVE 8 concert sites.

XM's exclusive satellite radio broadcasts of LIVE 8 will begin at 9 a.m. ET on July 2. Performances can be heard on the following XM channels:

XM Channel 40 - Live Global Coverage of LIVE 8 Performances
XM Channel 41 - LIVE 8 in London, live from Hyde Park
XM Channel 42 - LIVE 8 in Philadelphia, live from the Museum of Art
XM Channel 43 - LIVE 8 in Berlin, live from Siegessäule
XM Channel 44 - LIVE 8 in Rome, live from Circus Maximus
XM Channel 45 - LIVE 8 in Paris, live from Palais de Versailles
XM Channel 46 - LIVE 8 in Barrie, Canada, live from Park Place

In addition to these channels, XM's live, global coverage of LIVE 8 performances will be simulcast on XM LIVE (XM Channel 200). LIVE 8 performances from London will be simulcast on XM LIVE II (XM Channel 201).

Some of the music industry's most accomplished acts and biggest names will be performing at various LIVE 8 concerts around the world, including Annie Lennox, Barenaked Ladies, Bob Geldof, Bon Jovi, Brian Wilson, Coldplay, Crosby Stills and Nash, The Cure, Dave Matthews Band, Destiny's Child, Dido, Elton John, Faith Hill, Green Day, Jamiroquai, Jay-Z, Joss Stone, Kaiser Chiefs, Keane, Keith Urban, The Killers, Lauryn Hill, Madonna, Mariah Carey, Maroon 5, Mötley Crüe, Paul McCartney, P Diddy, Pink Floyd, R.E.M., Rob Thomas, Sarah McLachlan, Scissor Sisters, Simple Plan, Snoop Dogg, Snow Patrol, Stevie Wonder, Sting, Teegan & Sara, Tim McGraw, U2 and Velvet Revolver, among others.

The LIVE 8 broadcast will kick off XM's month-long celebration of live music. "JULIVE" will run throughout July across the XM platform with exclusive live performances from XM's massive live music archives.
