ONE-ON-ONE SPORTS TEAMS UP WITH XM SATELLITE RADIO

Nation's largest live 24-hour sports talk radio network joins XM lineup

Washington D.C., January 06, 1999 -- Hugh Panero, XM Satellite Radio President & CEO, today announced that One-On-One Sports, Inc., the nation's largest live 24-hour sports talk radio network, will be the first sports channel to join XM's programming lineup.

"I'm very excited that we're kicking off the New Year with our first sports channel," said Mr. Panero. "One-On-One brings top personalities, great energy and innovation to sports talk. Research shows that men, sports radio and cars go together with 40 percent of the sports radio audience between the ages of 18 and 35, which is XM's prime target."

"We are always looking for ways to expand our channels of distribution so our listeners can obtain our One-On-One product," said Chris Brennan, Chairman, President & CEO of One-On-One Sports, Inc. "XM offers a wonderful opportunity for One-On-One to stay on the cutting edge of technology and augment our solid national distribution. Our listeners can now hear us on affiliate stations across the country via our own proprietary satellite system, through One-On-One's website in Cyberspace and now as part of XM's satellite digital channel."

One-On-One Sports is the nation's largest live 24 hour sports talk radio network, reaching over 13 million listeners per week. The network has over 400 affiliates and owns four stations including AM 620 New York, AM 950 Chicago, AM 1540 Los Angeles, and AM 1510 Boston. XM Satellite Radio Inc. is a national, multi-channel, digital-radio service. First there was AM, then FM and now XM, the next generation of radio, slated to launch in the year 2000. XM, using high-powered satellites, will deliver up to 100 channels of digital-quality music, news and information from its high-powered satellites to cars, homes and other listening environments equipped with a small palm-sized antennae. XM-capable radios and audio systems will be manufactured and distributed by Alpine Electronics, Inc., Pioneer Electronic Corporation and the Sharp Corporation.

One-On-One Sports joins XM's brand-name channel lineup, which includes four exclusive channels from BET and Radio One , leaders in serving the African-American community through cable TV and radio, respectively; one exclusive channel from USA TODAY , the nation's largest selling newspaper; one channel from Bloomberg News Radio , the country's leading source for financial news; five exclusive channels from Heftel Broadcasting Corporation , the country's largest Spanish language radio broadcaster; three exclusive channels from Salem Communications Corporation , the nation's premier Christian broadcaster; two exclusive channels from AsiaOne , a major provider of Asian news and entertainment; and C-SPAN Radio , to provide its signature audio coverage of public affairs events on Capitol Hill and around the country, often live.
